Day 181 - and that's one thousand miles!

Eight mile run out tonight to Bramhope and back. Felt really sluggish going up Leeds Road but things improved on the flat.

So, after 181 days of running everyday I've now clocked up 1,006 miles!

Next milestone, half way......

Day 180 - brisk seven

Brrrr.....it's cold! Brisk seven miles tonight, out up the Leeds Road, down Pool Bank and back along Pool Road. Most of that is street lit except the return, which requires a head torch. Oh the joys of winter/northern hemisphere running!

Still, a good run, a solid seven miles and the tally is tantalisingly close to 1,000 miles at 998!!

Day 179 - speed work!

Clocked up 3.58 miles according to MapMyRun doing repeats of 3 minutes fast then 2 minutes slow around Ilkley while Emma was at her guitar lesson. Ilkely seems a lot flatter than Otley and it was great to get some sprints in.

Running total also edges up, 991 miles now since 1st September 2012.

Day 178 - another five

Same loop as yesterday only anti-clockwise today. Also felt much livelier today and my new running shoes felt like new shoes with that extra bounce and cushioning.

So a good five mile work out and the tally edges ever closer to 1,000 miles at 988.

Day 177 - just five.

A chilly five around the usual Otley loop.

Ran in brand new Brooks Ghost 5's today as the last pair have now reached just shy of 500 miles. Was expecting a very springy, Tigger like run, but I just didn't seem to have the energy. I guess no surprise after the previous week's 155 miles and the inevitable battle with 'post ultra run depression', that desperate need to keep reliving the big event.

Time to start looking forward and from tomorrow the training for London starts in earnest.

And, five more miles takes the running tally to 983.

Day 176 - speedy parkrun!

Well, speedy in relation to recent parkruns. Back to Leeds parkrun today, finished in 20th place in 18:53. Good running conditions as it was dry under foot, cold but still. Looks like a quickish field today with Roy well out ahead the whole race and although I nearly caught James he out sprinted me in the home straight

Very pleasing but now feeling tired.......

Three more miles to the tally takes the running mileage to 978.

Day 175 - six

Six miles around Otley this evening. A new route, basically using the Otley five with a few extensions. Used MapMyRun on my phone to measure the distance, exactly six miles door to door, unfortunelty it failed to save the run so I can't bore you withh all the other stats!!

Six more miles takes the tally on the 365 challenge to 975.
