Day 25 - The Flood

Well today I did do the five mile plod around town, only it was nearer six after diversions to go and look at the river in full spate (when does that become in flood?) and a diversion because Birdcage Walk was impassable because of two flooded sections. OK, passable, but only with waders on.

Anyway, the river is very high. Below is what the Wharfe looks like in a typical wet November, and we thought that was high! Tonight the drop over the weir was no more than 6 inches and the flooding across the valley is pretty extensive.

Anyway, made for an interesting diversion, rest of the run was good and another 6 miles notched up.

125 miles now on the challenge, 25 days in and 340 days to go.
